Family Membership

Dependents and spouses of full-time USC-Columbia students, faculty, or staff members with the purchase of a family membership are eligible to utilize the Blatt PE Center. All spouses are required to present a USC-Spouse ID card prior to a membership being processed. Dependents are not permitted to participate in Sports Clubs or Intramural Sports. Dependent Children under 16 years of age are not allowed to participate in aerobics classes.

Family membership price for faculty and staff is $40 per year or three month increments of $10. Family membership price for students is $20 per year or three months increments of $5.00. There will be a $5.00 charge for each replacement card.

Dependents under 16 years of age must be accompanied by a participating adult.
Children under 8 must be accompanied by an older escort of the same sex to assist them in the locker room. Dependents are not allowed to bring guests.

Dependents are individuals who are your legal dependents and occupants of your primary residence.

Dependents are defined as follows:

• your lawful spouse
• unmarried children under 19 years of age who are principally dependent upon you for support, which includes a natural or adopted child, stepchild, foster child or a child for whom you provide support because of a court order
• unmarried children who are 19 but less than 25 years of age, a full time student and principally dependent upon you for support.

Alumni Membership

Privileges

The Blatt PE Center has a swimming pool, tennis, basketball, squash, handball/racquetball courts and weight room for Carolina Alumni Association members to use and enjoy throughout the year. Members are eligible to participate in the Campus Recreation Group Exercise classes for an additional fee of $20 per semester. Alumni are not allowed to participate in Sports Clubs, Intramural Sports, or bring guests or family members with them into the Blatt PE Center. Memberships are only valid during times that the University is open.

Fees and Purchasing your Blatt PE Center Alumni Guest Pass

In order to utilize the facilities and programs through Campus Recreation, you must be a current member of the Carolina Alumni Association. You may purchase one of the following options:

• Purchase a daily alumni guest pass to the Blatt PE Center. Please bring and present your current Carolina Alumni Association card, a valid picture ID, and $3 to the Blatt PE Center.
• Purchase and annual membership to the Blatt PE Center for $250.00. Please bring and present your current Carolina Alumni Association card, a valid picture ID, and cash or check made payable to USC to the Blatt PE Center. This membership is good for one year from the date of purchase. This membership can only be purchased during your Carolina Alumni Association Membership Renewal and Join dates. There will be a $5 for each replacement card.
